GIVEAWAY!!

This has been going on the ENTIRE month of June but thought since there's not much left of June, I'd mention it again just for YOU!

Here's how this will work:

I want to celebrate Silent Orchids' being 1 month old and all of you who LOVE books and help to share the love by leaving reviews. SO, this giveaway is all about the REVIEW (even if it's only a couple of sentences).

This giveaway will run the ENTIRE MONTH OF JUNE (so if you haven't had time to read Silent Orchids yet, you have time :) If you have already posted a review it will be automatically entered.

To be entered in the contest:
  • You need to leave a valid review (again it doesn't have to be long, and be honest-- I want to know what you really think) on a purchase site such as Amazon or Barnes & Noble. Now, I appreciate reviews on Goodreads as well, but to be entered the review cannot be left solely on Goodreads but must also be left on a purchase site (can be the exact same review).
  • Then copy the URL link of the review and fill out the simple form (so I know you entered) HERE or on the TAB up above called "Giveaways". There will also be a link on a pinned post on my FB page (FB is not affiliated with this giveaway in any way) MorganWylieBooks

Authors of UtopYA Ultimate Giveaway!!

Authors of UtopYA Ultimate Giveaway
The countdown has been going on for months, and now it’s almost time!

One of the most fun conventions of the year is about to happen, and some of your favorite authors attending UtopYA want to celebrate. We’ve gotten together, and have some amazing prizes that you’re not going to want to miss out on.

2 Ways to win prizes! 1) for those attending and 2) for those that are NOT

1) Ultimate Swag Pack Giveaway (for those attending UtopYA)

True reading fans love to collect goodies from their favorite authors, but this giveaway takes that to the next level! If you’re going to UtopYA this year, you’re going to want to get your hands on this Ultimate Swag Pack. Some of your favorite authors have gotten together to give you their very best swag. I’m not talking about a signed bookmark (although those are included)—this prize pack includes the following:

·        Leather bracelet from Tiffany King
·        “Grant’s Cupcake” tee shirt from Sarah M Ross
·        Lavender/Spearmint bath salts from Heather Self
·        “Nick Rocks my World” mug and bath soaps from Ella James
·        Skull Necklace and other prizes from Amy Jones
·        Keychain from Morgan Wylie

And that’s just part of the prizes you can win!  So now that you’re salivating and reaching out your “gimme, gimme” hands, you’re probably wondering HOW TO ENTER...

We’re giving you a few options:

1.   Make a video hyping UtopYA and the authors of UtopYA. Then, post this video on FB or Twitter and email it to sarah@sarahmross.com (so we don’t accidentally miss it in the Twitterverse. This video can be short and sweet – basically telling people that UtopYA is coming and about the amazing authors that are going.

2.   Make a FB banner or meme hyping UtopYA and the authors of UtopYA. This is the same concept of the video, but for the more camera shy folks out there. Then, change it to your banner and email it to sarah@sarahmross.com to have your entry counted.

*We’re not giving a whole lot of instruction on how to do this on purpose. We want you to be creative! Get those juices flowing! Want to make a Utop rendition of “Call Me Maybe”? Or post a video of you stalking your favorite authors before you stalk them in real life at Utop? A meme of Grumpy Cat at Utop with the authors? The possibilities are endless! But make it creative! All the participating authors will vote on the one that WOW’s us the most.  And remember: This part of the contest is open to peeps attending UtopYA only! Prizes to be picked up at UtopYA!!

2) Signed Paperbacks (for those NOT attending UtopYA)

Not able to make it to UtopYA this year? Don’t worry! We have a great giveaway for you too! Enter the Rafflecopter below to win some amazing autographed paperbacks! (Open to US residents only! Sorry!!)

New Release! Weather Witch by Shannon Delany

In a vastly different and darker Philadelphia of 1844, steam power has been repressed, war threatens from deep, dark waters, and one young lady of high social standing is expecting a surprise at her seventeenth birthday party–but certainly not the one she gets!
Jordan Astraea, who has lived out all of her life in Philadelphia’s most exclusive neighborhood, is preparing to celebrate her birthday with friends, family and all the extravagance they might muster. The young man who is most often her dashing companion, Rowen Burchette, has told her a surprise awaits her and her best friend, Catrina Hollindale, wouldn’t miss this night for all the world!
But storm clouds are gathering and threatening to do far more than dampen her party plans because someone in the Astraea household has committed the greatest of social sins by Harboring a Weather Witch.

I asked Shannon what the inspiration behind the Weather Witch was and the location she chose, this is what she had to say...

I've always loved storms and ships and the idea that someone might be able to control the weather, and I grew up about an hour outside the city I set the opening action in--a city I return to whenever I can.

Philadelphia. I love it so much I started the Weather Witch series there. My brother says his favorite city in the US is NYC, but for me it's Philly with its remnants of colonial history, its spirit of revolution and innovation and its wide variety of immigrants. Philadelphia doesn't swallow people up the same way other cities do--it allows their fingerprints to remain as a part of it and every person has the real opportunity to make it a better place because of their involvement.

Philadelphia is my big city crush and I had to use it. Of course I did change some aspects of it significantly... Although there is a "Society Hill" it's not like my "Hill". There's no real "Below" although the city breaks into different neighborhoods and I'm sure there've been some that some people would suggest as being the "Burn Quarter" at different times. But there are plenty of references to actual places and even some people (and one ghost).

To say Philadelphia influenced this series would be an understatement. Yes, we do visit a few other locations I love like Bangor, Maine, Herkimer, New York (and reference others: Baltimore and Salem) but we come back to Philadelphia for some of the most important moments because I love it so much.

Where's Rory?

Heather Sutherlin is looking for her character Rory. You see, she's missing. The silly girl jumped through a portal and disappeared.  We don't know if she's in another world or just in another place in this world. Help Heather track her down before the release of Wandering (Book 2 in The Wanderer series).

One thing is for sure, Rory is NOT in mountains of Glacier National Park in Montana or in the realm of Alandria! Because Kaeleigh, Chel, Finn, and Daegan would have sensed, if not seen, her on their path to enter the magical gateway between the mortal realm and that of Alandria filled with Elves, Faeries, Shifters, and the evil Droch-Shúil. With keen hearing and Daegan's empathic senses Rory would have been noticed. Not to mention, IF she made into Alandria--and that's a big IF unless she has blood of any of the beings residing in Alandria--she would have been revealed to the land itself at the Bridge of Revealment.

Visit http://heathersutherlin.com/wheres-rory/ to see where else Rory is NOT to try and narrow down where she might be! ALSO enter to win a GIVEAWAY of great books!

Book One in The Wanderer series:

Seen
Rory has no idea what’s going on in the woods behind her house, but it’s driving her crazy. On the last day of her senior year she finds herself caught up once again in the curious happenings of the forest and walks away without any of the answers she was hoping to find. To make matters worse, she is sent to visit a sick neighbor and instead finds the hottest guy she’s ever seen. When she discovers his brother’s incredible secret she falls further into her own chaos and into a fate she never could have imagined.
Jaron is just counting the days until the summer is over and he can get back to his real life. Stuck with his little brother on a tiny farm in rural Oklahoma is not exactly his idea of fun. But when Rory shows up on his doorstep with an armload of pie, he knows his summer has just taken a sharp turn into new territory. He never expected the adventure they would discover next or the quest that would change their lives forever.

Available on Amazon Kindle, Nook, Kobo, and iTunes.

The adventure continues this summer in

Countries are divided and war is raging, but none of that matters to Andra. She is destined to be a dragon rider. There has never been a woman rider, but that doesn't matter to her. ~ About the Book ~

Title: The Princess and the Stableboy
Author: Rebecca Rynecki
Published: Coming Fall 2013
Genre: NA Fantasy Romance
Content Warning: Some Sexual Content
Recommended Age: 17+

~Synopsis~

Once upon a time, before Alaina fell into Isleen...

There was a kingdom devoid of magic...

Until one day when Astra, the princess of Isleen is awoken by dragons flying by her window. She escapes with the help of Peter, a stableboy who is hiding a few secrets of his own.

The land is thrust into peril. The wizards Uther and Avalon have returned from their banishment by unknown forces, and they are determined to take over once more...even if it means turning most of the people into ogres.

Astra finds herself fighting her home in an ages old fairy tale of good, evil...and love.

~ Excerpt ~

Astra nodded, and waved him off, turning her attention over to a small group of dancers. She tore off some more of the meat, and started to sway along with the soft music coming from the dulcimer. A light rain was beginning to fall, and she glanced up, opening her mouth slightly to take some of it in. Astra smiled, letting her eyes flutter momentarily across the night sky.
Peter turned around, the mugs of mead trembling in his hands. He watched her, his eyes roving over her body before they settled on her gently moving hips. His heart raced, and he panted, taking a sip of the mead before looking at her again. She had finished the turkey leg and was now standing on her tip toes, giggling as she let her tongue dart out to catch some of the rain.
They locked eyes, and she gave him a smile. Peter left the mead down on the table, and slowly walked over.
“You left the mead,” she murmured.
He exhaled. “You’re beautiful,” Peter blurted out.
Astra blushed. “Thank you.” She pointed up at the sky. “I think it’s starting to rain.”
“Is it?” he croaked. His eyes trailed down to her mouth. “I don’t think I noticed.” Peter let out a small groan as her tongue ran over her bottom lip. “Do you want to dance?”
“Oh.” Astra’s cheeks pinked once more as she nodded.
Peter wrapped his arm around her waist, drawing her closer to him as the pace of the music increased. He could feel her heart beat against his and he sighed. “Astra…”
Her eyes flicked up. “Hmmmm?”
He kissed her. Astra gasped, her mouth opening as she felt the heat of his tongue searching for hers. She shut her eyes, her knees quaking as she moaned. She could feel the rain pelt down on them, and she sighed.
Peter shook, and he panted, gently releasing her. He swallowed, his jaw line clenching as he settled his hands on her cheeks and searched her eyes. “Astra…”
“Peter…” Astra closed her eyes, and tried to steady her heartbeat as they rested their foreheads against each other. “Peter…”

~ Giveaway ~

There is an event wide giveaway. One winner will receive an eBook copy (ePub or PDF) of book #1 in the series, The Secret World of Alaina Downs.
